Frequently Asked
Questions
What does Stability Networks do?
We manage our client's computer networks for them,
focusing on how their network can enhance each client's
success. We begin by standardizing the network and
all computers within it, continue by providing monthly
maintenance, 24x7 monitoring, patching, and ongoing
support. Finally, we work with our clients to tune
their networks and help them find the most effective
and efficient ways to have their technology support
their success.
How is that different from what we have now?
There are three primary differences between our model
and those of most of our competitors. First, we provide
a rounded suite of support, including round-the-clock
monitoring of your critical systems, automated patching
of all your software (not just Microsoft Windows),
online documentation, and monthly maintenance based
on checklists developed over years of experience.
Second, we as a company develop true relationships
with our clients. In a typical month you're likely
to hear from your assigned field engineer weekly,
the maintenance staff twice a month, and one of our
management team monthly. Finally, we are consultants,
not technicians, so after ensuring the basic stability
of your network we focus in on it's functionality
and how it can best be adjusted to support your success.
You can rely on us to recommend the best solutions
we know (not the most or least expensive, nor the
popular one, nor...well, you get the picture).
Why do you want me to be on a contract?
We want to build a long-term relationship in which
our goal and your goal are the same: your success.
In a time-and-material billing basis, your goal is
to get things fixed as soon as possible, and competitors
bill for as many hours as possible. This doesn't strike
us as the best relationship we can build. With a contract,
we both know what the terms are and can plan for longer
term success without worry.
What am I getting in the contract?
First, a clear delineation of what we're responsible
for and what you'll pay for it. You should never be
surprised by your bill at the end of the month. Second,
a commitment from us to monitor your critical systems
round-the-clock, to keep your systems (all of them)
patched up-to-date, to do the many little tasks that
will maintain your servers and network equipment in
the most effective manner, and a support desk to assist
in any issues that come up during your work.
